Hi, my name is Alice Salomonsson, and I am currently in the final year of my undergraduate degree in Urban Planning and Property Development at Heriot-Watt University. For my dissertation I have decided to research how the experiences of blind and partially sighted people can be included in design guidance and planning policy. I am specifically looking at the aspects of outdoor places, and how they can be better designed to support the enjoyment of blind and partially sighted.
This survey is part of research for an undergraduate dissertation in Urban Planning and Property Development at Heriot-Watt University. The aim of the research is to explore if the built environment is perceived differently by blind and partially sighted people in comparison to sighted people, and how to incorporate that in policy and design guidance. This survey is interested in your experience of outdoor public places and will ask you about what makes you enjoy a particular place. It should take no longer than 10 minutes to fill out.
