Still Time to Sign The Petition To Withdraw the Survey on the Governments National Disability Strategy

The NFBUK and Bristol Disability Equality Forum (BDEF) have posted a petition, supported by 115 organisations from across the UK, calling on the government to halt the Survey on the Governments National Disability Strategy to Justin Tomlinson, the Minister for Disabled People, Health and Work and to Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister.
However, there is still time to sign as we are keeping the petition open to allow other organisations to support it if they would like to and will resubmit it on the 15th March 2021.

The survey has many serious accessibility issues and many of the questions asked are ambiguous, inappropriate and do not tackle all of the key issues that affect disabled people in the UK. The Easy Read version cannot be filled in on line and many of the info-graphics used on this version are wrong. There are also problems accessing the document with voiceover and screen readers and many other problems identified with its accessibility.

The petition letter, which can be seen by clicking this link Petition Letter, explains the other concerns about how the survey and why we are petitioning.

If you would like to sign the petition please email admin@nfbuk.org or to Sarah Gayton, NFBUK to sarahgayton@yahoo.co.uk or you can text 07903 155858 with a YES, your name and your organisations names by the 14 March 2021.
