Subject: Volunteers Needed – NFBUK Input into DBC PIP Literature Review Consultation

Dear Members,

I am writing in my capacity as NFB UK’s representative to the Disability Benefits Consortium (DBC) to invite volunteers to join a small consultation group.

The DBC has commissioned an independent literature review and member consultation on improvements and alternative models to Personal Independence Payment (PIP), to feed into the Timms Review. The literature review was  conducted in January–February 2026, with consultation activity scheduled for March 2026.

Volunteers will be asked to review the information sent out by the Disability Benefit Consortium , answer questions and  identify implications for blind and partially sighted people and help shape NFB UK’s response.

You do not need to be a policy specialist — lived experience and practical insight are welcome.

If you would like to take part, please contact me by Wednesday 4 March indicating any access requirements.

Kind regards,

Sandra Kane
