Meetings are held in the Quaker Meeting House, 38 Elmbank Crescent, Glasgow, commencing at 1:30pm on the second Saturday of January, March, May, June, September and November of each year.
2016 dates: 12th November.
Provisional 2017 dates: 8th January, 11th March, 13th May, 10th June or 8th July, 2nd or 9th September, and 11th November.
The meeting lasts approximately two hours, and is usually followed by either a bring & buy sale or a fun fundraising auction.
West of Scotland Branch is currently campaigning to secure more audio description on Scottish produced or Scottish only broadcast programmes and hope to have further communication with the Head of Public Policy & Corporate Affairs of BBC Scotland.
We are pressing the SNP Scottish Government to fulfil their recent pre-election pledge to introduce legislation against parking on pavements and at dropped kerbs in Scotland.
We have been campaigning against the introduction of shared spaces in our towns and cities, especially the proposals by East Dumbarton Council for Kirkintilloch High Street.
We have concerns regarding the proposals by Strathclyde Passenger Transport (SPT), to introduce driverless trains on the Glasgow Underground.
