Campaigning is Leeds Branch’s principal activity and our current campaigns are electric/silent vehicles, pavement obstructions (wheelie bins, cars on pavements, etc) and AV on buses.
We have achieved success in stopping shared spaces in Leeds and helping with the development of the new south side of Leeds railway station, which is now completed and the Campaigns Team attended the launch on 23rd August 2016.
Social inclusion is also very important and we incorporate social events within our monthly programme. Publicity is an important aspect so we can ensure that information about our activities can be seen by those who wish to know what we are doing to try to boost recruitment and to improve the quality of life for visually impaired people.
